Akai O’Keefe was born on August 7th, 2002, to Khalilah S Walker and Thomas O’Keefe in San Bernardino, California. Akai later moved to Las Vegas Nevada where he began to live his life. Akai started his education at Dean Petersen Elementary School. He attended Orr Middle School and Canyon Springs High School. Akai found his love of football through his participation in the Nevada Youth Sports where he began to excel in his talent. While in school, he managed to participate in sports and work a part-time job at the D Hotel. Akai had a love for many things, such as his “need for speed” lifestyle and music. He loved fast cars, frequently visited “Sunday Funday,” and was interested in auto mechanics. As a child, he began making music with various instruments in his grandpa’s living room amongst his brother and cousins. He had a tremendous love for his family. He was adored and cherished by his loving mother (Khalilah Walker). He was admired and relied on by his little brother (Saif “Khaliq” O’Keefe) and his two children (Legend O’Keefe and late son Akai O’Keefe Jr.) Akai was preceded in his graduation of life by his grandpa (Gregory Walker), his son (Akai O’Keefe Jr.), his aunty (Khadijah Walker.) he leaves behind his mother (Khalilah Walker), his father (Thomas O’Keefe), his brother (Saif O’Keefe), sister (Mariah Carter), son (Legend O’Keefe), grandmother (Mary Patton), grandmother (Robin Jackson), Great Aunt (Pamela Walker), aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends who all loved him dearly left mourning.
