Barbara Jean Jones

Barbara Jean Jones who was affectionately known as Bobby was born on March 10th, 1954 in Lake Providence, LA to Gloria Morgan and Joe Davis. Bobby moved with her family to Las Vegas, NV in 1964. She confessed her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Greater Faith Baptist Church. She graduated from Las Vegas High School and furthered her education at the University of Nevada, Reno. Barbara's career of 47 years was spent in the medical field. She was employed at Desert Springs Hospital than transferred to Sunrise Hospital where she would retire from. Her co-workers loved her and gave her the nickname "Barbie". She was known for always brightening up the day with her jokes and knowledge. Bobby was a very comedic person who loved spending time with her family & friends. She loved life and treated each day as a gift from God by living it to the fullest. Bobby had a unique ability of making everyone feel special and loved. She was selfless and would go out of her way to help others. Bobby had a no nonsense approach to life that drew others to her. Ger charismatic personality would brighten a room effortlessly. No matter what was going in her life, Bobby would make time to listen, give advice, and make you laugh about whatever crisis that may have been happening at the moment. Bobby's passion was cooking and shopping. She owned a library of cookbooks and enjoyed cooking different meals. Bobby shared a special bond and love with each of her grandchildren that included watching YouTube for hours at at time. She was her grandchildren's biggest cheerleader. She supported and encouraged each of them to fins their purpose, pursue their dreams, never give up, and most importantly to find happiness in every aspect of their lives. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Gloria Morgan and Joe Davis, one son Rodney Munson and one Daughter Talarisha Hill. Her life will forever be cherished, and her memory will be kept alive in the lives of her three sons; Renard Jones (Malia), Will Jones and Jared Jones, Five Daughters; Sonia Jones, Vivian Jones, Jill Jones, Ashley Jones & Brittany Jones. Three Amazing Best friends Vircie Wilson, Esther Junior * Emily Silver. 19 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
