Clifton Freeman Jr,

Clifton Junior Freeman, was born in Windsor, North Carolina on October 11, 1937. He passed on the 29th of September 2019. He will be laid to rest on the 18th of October 2019. He was preceded in death by his wife Ernestine Freeman. He moved to California from North Carolina. There he met Ernestine Redd. Two years later the couple was married in Los Angeles, CA. They spent many of their working years in Los Angels before retiring and relocating to Las Vegas NV in 1989. Clifton was a great man from the start, born to Rome Freeman and Maggie Freeman, good and honest people who worked hard and instilled character and integrity in all their children. Bernice Freeman-Johnson and Leroy Freeman are the only two surviving siblings of nine total consisting of 5 girls and 4 boys. Clifton and Ernestine were parents to six children. Dorothy Royston, Theresa Royston, John Royston, David Bailor, Joanne Bailor and Eric Freeman, Grand children include, Patrick, Jennifer, Demetrius, Michael, Tiffany, Nicole, John Jr, Ryan, Mario, Breann, Johnathan, Joseph, Mariah and Jeremy. Clifton also had many nieces and nephews as well as great grandchildren. Clifton worked for Hughes Aircraft for 30 years. He retired in 1989. During his time at Hughes he was awarded many honors for his time and service there. After retirement Clifton and his son co-owned a janitorial service. While in California the family were members of the St. Andrews Baptist Church. Before the family found St. Andrews, Clifton aided in the building of Lucky Star Baptist Church. Where Clifton was a deacon and his children comprised the churches choir. Clifton decided to make Las Vegas his home because he loved the lights, night life, gaming. Other than enjoying his family, he loved to go and watch Karaoke. He loved watching professional and amateur boxing while sipping on Hennessy. Funeral services will be held at Thomas and Jones Affordable Funeral Home. 2457 North Decatur BLVD, Las Vegas NV 89108. Service times are 11 am-1 pm. Graveside services will be held from 1-2:30 pm at the Woodlawn Cemetery 1500 North Las Vegas BLVD. There Clifton will be laid to rest next to his beloved Ernestine. Clifton was a strong willed man physically and mentally. He was a loving husband, devoted father, faithful friend and always wore a smiling friendly face when greeting others. He was diagnosed with cancers involving many different systems throughout his body. He was given roughly 6 months to live. He unfortunately passed about a month after being diagnosed. Clifton was loved by all that knew him. He will be tremendously missed and his memory will live forever in the hearts of his family and those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
