Cora Mae Williams

Cora Mae Williams was born on August 1, 1935, in Crenshaw, Mississippi, to the late Anthony Golden and Willie B. Campbell Golden. On July 6, 2024, at 88 year of life, Cora Mae Williams took her last breath peacefully at her home among her family. On October 27, 1956, Cora Mae married Theodore Williams, the love of her life, and together in union, they were blessed with one beautiful baby girl. She dedicated her life to rearing her daughter, and later in her life, she began to work as an iron worker at Inland Steel. Cora Mae was filled with the Holy Spirit in 1967 at Bethlehem C.O.G.I.C. in Chicago, Illinois, where she as a devoted member. In 1974, she joined the Old Original Baptist Church and served on the Usher Board under the leadership of Rev. Reddy. In 1991, Cora Mae joined Greater Way True Holiness under the leadership of Bishop Otis Nickson, where she served faithfully on the Mother's Board. As life pushed her her in another direction, Cora Mae found herself relocating to North Las Vegas with her husband, daughter, and grandson, where she became an active member and served as a diligent mother on the Mother Board at Faith Temple True Holiness Intl. Min. Under the leadership of Apostle Zacoria. Cora Mae's life was filled with faith, and that faith flowed throughout her family and community. She was known for her loving and kind nature. She has a passion for cooking, attending church services, shopping, and most of all, caring for her family and others. Cora Mae was a "True Gift from God," our Creator! She touched the hearts of everyone who crossed her path. Cora MAe Williams' legacy will continue through her beautiful daughter, Yvette Williams; two grandchildren, Chandra Brown-Jones (Danny Jones) of Chicago, Illinois, and Corey Williams of North Las Vegas, Nevada; and her six great-grandchildren: Tommy Morrow III, Tomaris Brown, Dani Jones, Meilani Jones, Avery Williams, and Journey Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cora Mae Williams husband, Theodore Williams, and siblings Ceola Bullock, Laverne Smith, Everlen Taylor, Emmit Smith, and Jesse Campbell, all preceded her in death. We will miss you, Momma!
