Enoch Jay Henry

Rev. Enoch Jay Henry, known to most as Knock Knock was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 27, 1959 to the union of the late Rev. John Henty Jr. and Eliza Henry. His family showered him with love which was the anchor that allowed Enoch to live a joyful and prosperous life without limits. He completed his formal education and graduated from Variety School in Las Vegas, NV. Shortly after he started a life-long career with the State of Nevada. Enoch’s talents and accomplishments were many. His tenacity made his challenges appear small. He was the Poster Child for Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon for many years. He enjoyed traveling, driving his van around town (when he was able and fit to do so), bowling, dancing, singing and building lifelong friendships. His life and singing were destined by God. Enoch was ordained in ministry by his Father, Rev. John Henry Jr. and was taught to sing by parents John and Eliza whom founded their family gospel group the Henriettes. The group consisted of his sister Lenorthern (Angel) and brothers Van, Enoch, Mark and Timothy. Enoch loved many things especially having fun and shopping. He was a very sharp dresser and always found the right outfit. He was happiest when spending time with his family and friends. Most would never k ow his challenges were many because he remained active and didn’t let his illness keep him down. He was a fighter, he fought long and hard. He departed this earthly life in his home April 19, 2020 surrounded by family and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents Rev. John and Eliza Henry, his sister Evangelist Lenorthern Brewer, many aunts, uncles and his adopted son Michael. Enoch leaves his legacy of Love and strength to his family. He is survived by four brothers: Elder John Henry III (Wanda) of Chicago, ILL. Van and Mark Henry of Pahrump, NV. Apostle Timothy Henry (Nekia) of Las Vegas, NV. Sisters Lucretia Jones (Henry). Adrienne Patterson (Kenneth) and Vickie Smith (Calvin). God sister Janice Hill and God brother Paul David Bingham. Aunts Geneva Pasley, Evangelist Mattie Stevenson both of Las Vegas, NV. Irene Douglas and Myrtis Williams of Baton Rouge LA. And Queenaster Thomas of Natchez, Mississippi. Uncles, Willie Walker (Donna), Roy Walker both of Las Vegas, NV. Enoch built lasting relationships with all he met and acquired a host of extended family members that included many nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, adopted children and friends.
