Obituary For My Brother Today we are here to honor Jeffrey Wayne Brown, my brother. I'm Corey Brown. Wayne was born on February 20, 1970, to single mother Juanita Brown, in Alabama. He attended school in Hale County, Alabama and Los Angeles, California. He earned a GED and proudly sent it home to our mother. When Wayne was 10 years old, I was born. I was 9 pounds and yellow and he never let me forget it. He called me "fat boy" until the day he died. Having a brother growing up wasn't always the easiest, but as we got older, I realized I truly had a partner, someone that always had my back, and supported me. Way was generous with his time, loving, and dedicated to his family. He was always there, at the drop of a hat, if you needed anything. I remember when I was in college a state away, surviving off noodles, and our mother was ill in the hospital, Wayne had no money and he walked miles and miles and miles to take care of her in the hospital. He gave her whatever he could. More recently, he was also dedicated to our uncle who had recently fallen on poor health. That's just who he was - always thinking about others and always there, especially for his family. The world will truly never be the same for me without Wayne, but I will hold the memory of him close to my heart for the rest of my days. I love you thank you so much. Wayne leaves to cherish his memories a brother Corey Brown (Jane), of Fresno California. An uncle and aunt, Lovell and Irene Brown of Las Vegas; aunt Barbara Brown-Carroll of Las Vegas; and aunt Rosa Echols Brown of Virginia. His best friend and nephew, Ezra Brown of Fresno. He leaves behind his partner Denise Slack. He also leaves behind a host of cousins including Phyllis Powers of Alabama, Tina Brown of Las Vegas, Tanya Turner of Las Vegas, Lakeisha Brown of Reno; Lisa Brown, Jalissa Kitt and Kandace Brown of Virginia; Chatavia and Kiera Allen of Las Vegas. He also leaves behind God sisters Evette and Regina James of Los Angeles. Wayne is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Love and Daisy Brown; mother, Juanita Brown; aunt, Ernestine Brown; and 5 uncles, including; Charles Cole, Nathaniel Brown, David Brown, Pick Brown, and Cleveland Carroll. He was preceded in death by God Sister Tiara James. He was also preceded in death by son Bryan Slack! PS In one final act of kindness, Wayne donated his kidneys and other vital organs so that others can live!
