Joe Vernon (Keith) Anderson January 31, 1939 - February 3, 2021 A beautiful life came to an end on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. The Angel of Death came and touched a faithful and devoted child of God. Joe Vernon Anderson took her final step into another room, we call this room my Father’s house. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the young age of 11, in Eudora, Arkansas. Joe was a faithful member of Unity Baptist Church, Las Vegas, NV, until the Lord called her home. As a teenager Joe moved to Los Angeles, California where she later met the love of her life, Lorenzo D Anderson. Joe & Lorenzo shared 61 beautiful years of holy matrimony. She leaves to mourn her life: her devoted husband Lorenzo D. Anderson (Las Vegas, NV). Daughters: Yolanda Michelle Gladney (Pomona, CA), Jacqueline Anderson-Dafaallah (Diablo Grande, CA). Grandchildren: La’Dettra Williams, Zakaria Dafaallah, Markise Gladney. Sister-in-Law: Ruth (Augusta) Keith. 28-Nieces & Nephews, and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded her in death; Mother: Luella (Young) Keith, Father: Murphy Keith, Sr. Sisters: Lee Anner (Keith) Smith, Viola (Keith) Baker, Luella (Keith) Oats. Brothers: Murphy Keith, Jr., Augusta Keith, Ulysses Keith, Roosevelt Keith, Johnny Keith, Lawrence Keith. To My Mother from Yolanda You never said I am leaving, you never said goodbye, You were gone before I knew why. A million times I needed you, a million times I cried. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life I loved you dearly, in death I love you still. In my heart you hold a place, that no one could ever fill. It broke my heart to lose you, but you did not go alone. For part of me went with you, the day God took you home. To My Grandmother from Markise I had a wonderful grandmother, one who never really grew old. Her smile was made of sunshine, and her heart was solid gold. Her eyes were as bright as shining stars, and in her cheeks fair roses you see. I had a wonderful grandmother, and that is the way it will always be. But take heed, because she is still keeping an eye on me. So, I will make sure she likes what she sees.
