Linda Louise Everett

Linda Louise Everett, passed away on September 7, 2024 at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, California with ALL of her children by her bedside. She put up a long and brave fight her heart had done all it could do. She had gone through many surgeries and rehab in the past years. She came into this world as Linda Louise Jackson on September 20, 1947 in Tallulah, Louisiana at 9 ½ pounds, as the only child to the late Victoria and George Jackson. She would make up for being the only child with her own big family. She married Sam Everett Jr. in 1965 who has preceded in death. She would go onto have five children: Carolyn Everett, Delores Everett, Cassandra Everett, Larry Everett, Pamela Everett, seven grandchildren: Tamario Everett (deceased), Quanesia Everett, Antwan Everett-Dailey (Shaquita), Terrence Johnson, Shatoya Everett, Jevon Porter, Dariouse Gravely, eleven great-grandchildren: Aniya Everett, Cordaye Everett, Desmond Everett, Lleah Vazquez, Daniell Turner, Charletta Vasquez, Dejah Turner, Da’Shaun Turner, Leeya Williams, Aria Everett-Dailey, Antwan Everett,-Dailey Jr. She made Las Vegas her permanent home in 1967, where she would raise her family. Family was very important to her. Gatherings were a signature staple in the family, and of course it was always someone’s birthday. Thanksgiving was the biggest celebration of the year. She owned the kitchen and was very proud of the dishes that she learned during her childhood from her grandmother. Other than cooking she loved singing and dancing along with her favorite Blues songs, knitting, sewing, and playing on her favorite penny slot machine. Our family traditions will carry on as she has left so many with us. Linda was a loving, never selfish woman, if she had it that meant you had it as well. If she can do it for you, she will. She will be laid to REST in peace on her birthday September 20th, a place free of doctors and hospitals. The family of Linda would like to thank friends and family for their love and support. This was an extremely difficult time for our family. Linda was a hard working woman, nourishing and providing for her family as she raised them.
