Michael Steve Burns

Michael Steve Burns was born on September 24, 1957, in Tallulah, Louisiana on 5-mile turn. He was the last son of the late Mossie D. and James C. Burns Sr. He attended grade school at Wright Elementary then the family later relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada. He attended Rancho High School graduation in 1978. He accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Reverend F. N. Addison of Greater New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. Michael later moved his membership to Reconciliation Apostolic Ministries under the leadership of Bishop Ronald Thomas. Michael started his employment with NASA technologies (Nevada Test Site) as a Chef where he later became a Second Cook. He was faithfully employed for 35 years until he medically retired. Michael met the love of his life Pamela Sanders on June 2, 1984, where they became a union with a blended family resulting in four daughters and one son. They grew this union adding three more daughters as they remained as one until his passing. Michael loved his wife and family. He loved to cook and had many recipes up his sleeve. His favorite thing was BBQ. He loved to dance and spend time with the youth. He enjoyed going to movies, the park, rolling down the strip, and playing dominoes with the family. Michael was a jokester but don’t play with him, “Cause he’ll bust your head to the white meat!” Preceding him in death: his father; James C. Burns Sr., his mother; Mossie D. Burns, Father-In-Law; Juden Sanders Sr. Two Daughters; Cherry Sanders and Auriel Burns. Four Brothers; James C. Burns Jr., Leonard H. Burns, Robert L. Burns, Charles W. Burns. Three Sisters; Mildred Allen, Odessa Armstrong, and Sharon K. Burns. Three Brother-In-Laws; Louis Sistrunk, Juden Sanders Jr., and James Allen. One Sister-In-Law; Antoinette Brooks. He leaves to cherish his memories to his devoted wife; Pamela Burns, Five daughters; Camille Hicks, Devonna Donte Harrison-Pierre, Tamber Burns, Asia Burns, all of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Shasta Stark, of Chesapeake, Virginia. One Son; Jesse Stark Jr., of Las Vegas, Nevada. Fifteen Grandchildren. One Great-Grandchild. Mother-In-Law; Toni Sanders. One Sister; Shirley Sistrunk. Sister-In-Laws; Demary Burns, Mary D. Burns, Tracey Burns, Shelva Burns, Vickie Sanders, and Clyda Sanders. Two Brother-In-Laws; Cordell (Beatrice) Sanders, Kennedy (Jackie) Sanders, all of Las Vegas, Nevada. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
