Richard Solomon Morrison Jr.

Solomon Richard Morrison Jr. was born July 22, 1959 in New Orleans, LA to the union of Lucille Morrison and Solomon Morrison Sr. In 1967 the family moved to Las Vegas, NV. Solomon attended Matt Kelly Elementary School, Fremont Middle School, Von Tobel Middle School and Rancho high School where he graduated in 1977. During his high school years he played on the basketball team. Solomon attended community college after high school. When Solomon was younger he was given the nickname "Hook" by all his friends because they said he had a mean left hook. Solomon began working at 17 years old in the hotel industry where he worked in various positions. He later moved on to become a certified dietician. Solomon met Edna Carter in 1988. Later they were married and remained together for 20 years. Solomon will always be remembered for his caring, bubbly personality and big heart for his family. He enjoyed hanging out with family and friends having fun, fishing, barbequing and making memories. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Solomon transitioned from this life on February 22, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father, Solomon Morrison Sr., mother, Lucille Poole, two sisters Rosa Morrison and Shirley Thomas. Solomon leaves to cherish his memory daughters Serenna Lewis of Gulfport, MS, Katrina Carter of Dallas, TX and Rikki Morrison of Las Vegas, NV. Four grandsons Katron Carter of Dallas, TX, Krijeohn, Shaunjeohn, and Taijeohn Burks of Gulfport, MS. Two granddaughters, Korri Morrison of Las Vegas, NV and Ijiah Lee Burks of Gulfport, MS. Father, Milton Thomas of Las Vegas, NV. Six brothers Leon Morrison, Danny (Nina) Morrison, Larry Morrison, Ronnie Morrison, Milton Morrison Jr. and Bryant (Jackie) Morrison all of Las Vegas, NV. Special brother, Keith Smith of Las Vegas, NV. Three sisters, Karen Morrison, Troy (Tyrone) White, and Wanadra Morrison all of Las Vegas, NV. Two godsisters, Jalisa Roberson of Las Vegas, NV and Jessica Gross of Ruston, LA. Two bonus daughters, Genean Coleman and Alcenia Howard. Two aunts Helen White and Luvenia Turner of Las Vegas, NV and one uncle, Bobby Turner of Las Vegas, NV. A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
