Rosie Ann Alston

The Life of Rosie Ann Alston Rosie Ann Alston, affectionately known as Rosie, was born to the late John Berry Giles, and Clemmie Alston on July 9, 1957, in York, Alabama. Rosie confessed her life to Christ at a very young age. Rosie was educated in the Las Vegas area and graduated in 1975 from Western High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. Throughout the years, Rosie worked for various hotels on the strip, before accepting a job with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Organization), where she retired after 31 years of dedicated service. If you knew Rosie you know she loved shopping and her favorite stores was Victoria Secret and Bath and Body works, where she loved all the different fragrances and perfumes. Her favorite pastime was enjoying vacations and talking on the phone for hours with beloved family and friends. Rosie enjoyed going on cruises with her friends, and loved reading recipes and cooking. Rosie loved hanging out with her family and talking on the phone for several hours with her friends. Rosie leaves to cherish her memories, daughter Diontranita (NeNe) Young, loving life partner of 20 years, Jesse Ray Meeks, six Aunts Bobbi Austin, Juanita Alson, Shirley Keith all of Elyria, Ohio, Matilda Inman of Columbus, Ohio, Cynthia Thorpe of Lorain, Ohio, Barbara Bryant (James) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. One Uncle Frederick Alston (Brandi) of Elyria, Ohio. Cousins Robert Deas (Rochelle), Jeffrey Deas, Greg Deas, Cedric Deas, Cynthia Deas, Wakesha Clemons (Tiona), all of Las Vegas, Nevada and Teresa Wilson of Elyria, Ohio, and her Goddaughter Starlita Devereaux of Las Vegas, Nevada. Four lifelong friends Jewel Buford, Sandra Anderson, Michelle Dickerson and Sheila Bernard Bibbins all of Las Vegas, Nevada and two additional cousins/caretakers Mina Clark of Las Vegas, Nevada and Shelia Dubose of Gary, Indiana. Along with a host of family and friends. Rosie’s memories will continue to live on, and she will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved her. Proceeding Rosie in death her parents John Berry Giles, and Clemmie Alston, Grandparents, Ellie Fluker, Martin and Myra Alston, aunt Mary Ann Deas, uncles Michael and Charles Alson, cousins William Eddie Deas (TC), Mitchell Clarence Deas Sr., Dareon Laquan Deas and Zahariah Tattijiania Deas.
