Anthony Lavell Evans

In Loving Memory of Anthony Lavell Evans Sunrise September 29, 1966 Sunset June 6, 2020 Anthony was born to the parents of Mary Ann Mason and Green Evans Jr. in Tallulah, Louisiana. God had a special plan for his life from the time he took his first breath and the very moment he would take his last breath. As young parents, Mary Ann and Green were told by the late Dr. Provine of Tallulah, La told the parent that their child would develop pneumonia and die. Anthony was born with down syndrome defied all odds. God gave us 53 years of pure joy we were blessed to have an angel here on earth to teach us the will of God. Never once did Anthony ever complain, was always kind, compassionate, patient, helpful, full of laughter and jokes, loved to tease and talk smack and most of all had a heart of gold and LOVED his FAMILY and FRIENDS and was not shy about letting you know it. He was educated in the Clark Count School district at Helen J. Stewart completing K-12 grade. Anthony loved to dress and did NOT lit to get dirty. Anthony graduated and became employed at Opportunity Village immediately after graduating. where he worked for 29 years until he could no longer work. Anthony was very active after work as he was a member of a bowling team with his peers and attended many of the social events. He especially loved the dances and he danced all night. Anthony only displayed disappointment, frustration, and attitude when he was told he didn’t have work because he was on vacation, or he couldn’t go to work because it was a holiday, or he couldn’t go to work because he was sick. His famous reply was, “I am not sick you crazy”? He loved action movies and could recite them almost word for word Lethal Weapon, Jaws, Fast and Furious, Rocky and King Kong to name a few and his favorite Western was Bonanza where he knew every character first and last name. Such a Precious Jewel to all of his family and friends. Anthony will be truly missed and have left us all a legacy of what is means to show genuine human kindness and unconditional love. Anthony was a son, a brother, an uncle, a friend, a nephew, a grandson and a cousin to so many but to GOD he was perfect in everyway and when his work here was done. God loved him Best and called him home to give him eternal rest. Preceding Anthony in death is his LOVING father Green Evans Jr.; and Patrick Owens brother. Anthony leaves behind to cherish his memory a very LOVING Mother Mary Ann Mason, of Las Vegas, NV; Brother Green Evans III (Felicia Evans), of Las Vegas, Nevada; Sisters: Carolyn Evans-Smith and Latonya White, of Las Vegas, NV; Very Special Buddy Kevin Murray of Las Vegas, NV Peggy Mason (Grandmother) of Tallulah, La; A Host of Relatives: Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and Friends
