Harold Giles

Harold Giles Jr. of Las Vegas, NV passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at the young age of 62. Harold was born to parents Harold and Helen Giles on February 22,1957 in Georgetown, SC. Harold was the second youngest of eight. Harold was a bright energetic young man who loved to have fun and always had big dreams to be a successful businessman. As a teenager, he grew up in Rochester, NY with his older siblings who migrated to NY years prior. He graduated from East High School (Rochester, NY). After a few years of working construction alongside his older brother, Harold wanted to try his luck out West. He was the first ever to move so far away from family. This move was a clear indication of his independent nature as well as his high achiever personality. Harold started his own security business, Giles Patrol Service which later became Giles Investigative Services. He made his dreams a REALITY. Harold provided security for various organizations in California and Nevada. This was his absolute passion. He had an innate ability to protect others and his attention to detail was legendary. Harold is survived by his Daughter, Erikka Linn Giles; his Granddaughter, Cortlinn Desiree Hall; his brother, Samuel Giles; sisters, Mary Majors, Edith Pulley (Alphonse Pulley) Betty Giles, Helen Moe and Deloris Snow (Leon Snow); an Aunt, Magnolia Geathers; an Uncle Herbert Moultrie ; 15 nieces and nephews; 24 grandnieces and grandnephews, and a host of cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Helen Giles and sister, Elaine Johnson. Harold will be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin and Friend. Arrangements are being handled by Thomas and Jones Funeral Home.A Private Cremation Service is being held on Friday, June 28, 2019. A Loving Memorial Service will held in Georgetown, SC where Harold's ashes will be laid to rest with his parents.
