Kelvin Lamont Jenkins

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kelvin Lamont Jenkins, who passed away peacefully on September 7, 2024, Las Vegas, Nevada at the age of 54. Born on June 5, 1970, in Greensboro, North Carolina, Kelvin touched the lives of everyone he met with his warmth, kindness and infectious smile. Kelvin grew up in Frederick Maryland, attending Frederick High School, where he made lifelong friends and cultivated his passion for learning. He continued his education at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) where he studied with determination and enthusiasm. Kelvin's adventurous spirit took him to Barrow, Alaska, where he worked for several years, immersing himself in a unique and challenging environment. Eventually, he settled in Las Vegas, Nevada where he became an Operations Manager at major casino. A role in which he thrived, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues. Kelvin is survived by his loving father; Chester Jenkins, his stepmother; Edna Jenkins, his beloved daughter; Kayla Beach, and his brother; Keith Jenkins (NIA) of South Carolina. He also leaves behind his aunt; Evonne Davis of Wilmington North Carolina, his aunt; Alvera Smith, his uncle; Leonard McLaughlin of Detroit Michigan, his niece; Khole Michelle Jenkins, his nephew; Landon Keith Jenkins, and host of cousins and cherished friends. Kelvin was preceded in death by mother; Cassandra M. Jenkins. Whose memory he carried in his heart throughout his life. Kelvin will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his generosity of spirit, and his ability to bring joy to everyone he encountered. He was a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and will be missed by all who knew him. A memorial Service will be held to honor Kelvin's life.
