Tanya Celesta Clipper December 27, 1954 - June 5, 2021 Tanya Celesta Clipper, 66 a longtime resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away at her home on Saturday, June 5, 2021. She was born in Calexico, CA on December 27, 1954, the thirteenth of nineteen children of Henry and Josephine Clipper. She spent her first 7 years in El Centro, California, a small agricultural town. The family moved to Palm Springs, CA in November of 1960. Tanya graduated from Palm Springs High School in 1973 and moved to Las Vegas, NV. She embarked on the path to become self-sufficient, and was a very hard and focused worker. She worked as a Cocktail Server in the Culinary Union working 17 years at Bally’s Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. She was vested until her disability retirement in 2002. Her favorite color was turquoise and you could tell by the color of her eyeliner. She quickly fell in love with the color orange when she bought her infamous orange 1996 Mustang GT convertible. She was an accessory queen matching her attire, nail color and even her cellphone case with her car. Tanya loved all things fun and we have many dance videos to prove it! She was the “cool” mom dancing and singing karaoke at birthday slumber parties where she mastered the butterfly dance and Harlem Shake. With a heart of gold, beautiful smile, great laugh and interesting sense of humor, Tanya was easily everyone’s favorite “Crazy Aunt Tanya” or as her siblings called her “Tika”. Tanya is survived by her two children, Robert Devereaux and Amber Jackson, two grandchildren Jakoby and Kate’ya Devereaux. THREE BROTHERS Greggory, Larry & Roy Clipper EIGHT SISTERS Gloria J. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry & Josephine Clipper, her sisters; Mary Anne Haywood, Phyllis Reddic & Toni Clipper. Her sister- in-law; Patricia I. Clipper, brothers; Charles, Danny, Wayne & Joseph Clipper. Her nephew; Robert McGee Jr and great-nephews; Jared Flemming, Roy Rodriguez, and Jonathan Darling.
