THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF Willie B Jackson Willie Bee Jackson (Jones) was born on January 27, 1941 to Mr. Northern Jones and Mrs. Helen Jones (Williams) in Madison Parish, Louisiana. Her father named her Willie because he had anticipated a male child. At the age of 5 they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where she completed her schooling and graduated from Rancho High school, Las Vegas, NV. She then met a young man by the name of James Jackson which turned out to be the love of her life. So, in November 1959, at the age of 18, they united in holy matrimony and began building a family. In 1970, they purchased their first home on 2500 Clayton St, North Las Vegas, Nevada where they ultimately raised 5 amazing children. Before retiring in 1996, Bee worked at the Tropicana Hotel as a housekeeper for many years. Because of the love that Bee had for the job and people, she excelled in many leadership roles ultimately landing her in a highly coveted managerial position. She continued to shine during this time garnering many awards because of her noteworthy attention to detail and work excellence. Bee had lost her best friend James on March 16, 2013. Through many trials and tribulations, sickness and health, richer and poorer, they remained married for over 53 years. Her favorite past time was going to the casinos where she would play the slot machines, and hunting through thrift shops in search of great bargains. She also loved traveling and was not afraid to venture out alone. She would often travel back and forth to California to visit family. On one occasion she even flew to Okinawa, Japan to be with her daughter Laraina as she gave birth to her first child. One of her most favorite locations to visit was Georgia. She made several visits to the state often commenting about its peacefulness. Moving to Georgia was something that she very much wanted to do. Bee had a passion for cooking meals, the larger the group, the more she loved it. She would invite everyone over and let the good times roll. She thoroughly enjoyed family time, talking, laughing, and making long lasting memories. Many kids from the neighborhood loved her as their own mother, she was that kind of an amazing woman. One thing is for certain, Bee loved the Lord. She accepted Christ as her lord and savior at a young age. Bee would praise the lord for his goodness daily and loved going to Church and fellowshipping with family and friends. Bee leaves to cherish her precious memories her five children, James Jackson Jr (Skunny) and Wife Marsha Lawson-Jackson, Larnell Jackson (Fluff), Anthony Jackson (Amp) and Precious Crathin, Loletha Michelle Jackson all of Las Vegas, NV and Laraina Jordan and husband Christopher Jordan of Warner Robins, Georgia. (3) Sisters, Vera Stevenson, Geraldine Blackwell, Lanita Flores all of Las Vegas, NV (3) Sisters who preceded her in death, Ollie Smith, Erma Jones and baby Regina Jones. (3) Brothers Lonnie Jones of Houston, TX, Leonard (Maurice) Jones, James Jones (Maine) of Las Vegas, NV, (1) Brother who preceded her in death Leon Jones (Pete). (2) half-brothers Northern Jones Jr. and Hosea Jones. (2) Stepsisters Marie Davis and Doretha Brazil who all has preceded her in death. Grandkids James the 3rd (JJ), Jeremy, Natasha, Ebony, Brittany, Brandon, Lynn, Anthony (Bookie), Ashley, Zechara, Alaysia, Cherish, Faith, Nasir, Carlos, Carla, Christopher, Lola and Chazaia. And a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts, and friends.
